Criminal Response to Terrorist Crimes within the Egyptian Legislative Sphere with Considerations in International Documents and Treaties Against Terrorist Crimes
In the last two decades, terrorist crimes as a criminal phenomenon have been associated with increasing growth; But despite all the efforts of the international community to identify and combat it, no success has been achieved so far and this crime is being committed in a severe, dangerous manner and by resorting to new methods. What has made the world system and governments such as the Egyptian government face risks and insecurity today is the lack of consensus among governments to adopt dual policies in the fight against terrorist crimes and, as a result, support violations of international peace and security in small and large dimensions. Therefore, the fight against terrorist crimes consists of complex and diverse strategies and mechanisms with the aim of creating a comprehensive response to the threat of terrorist crimes, including the adoption of regulations against terrorist crimes, the use of information and mechanisms to combat the financing of terrorist crimes, as well as participation Efforts are made with other governments, especially the Egyptian government. According to this, despite the international efforts to fight the phenomenon of terrorist crimes and extremism and the many related initiatives and resolutions of the Security Council, members of the international community and governments such as the Egyptian government are still suffering from the spread of this phenomenon. Therefore, to effectively deal with the threat of terrorist crimes, the Egyptian government should devote more effort and resources to preventive and eradication measures that focus on the potential root causes of terrorist crimes, such as poverty, marginalization, and unemployment.
